I’m Ursa 🧸, the person running this online beauty diary. I write about my beauty and skincare journey and share things like product reviews, first impressions, current routines, and other thoughts about beauty-related stuff. I’m based in Japan, so I’ll mostly be covering Asian beauty-related products and topics.
I wouldn’t necessarily describe myself as a beauty or skincare fanatic. It’s more accurate to say that I’m just a little more interested in them than the average person, especially skincare. That’s partly thanks to my unpleasant experience with acne during my teenage years and also due to the lost era of beauty blogs in the mid-2010s that inspired mine. You can read more about that in my introduction post.
This isn’t really a “so you don’t have to” blog where I test a large volume of different products. I love blogging and writing about my opinions on skincare, and going into starting this blog, I didn’t want to feel like I have to buy and write about trendy things for the sake of content. As such, I’ll only be reviewing products that I genuinely want to try and that are a good match for my skin type and skin concerns, both of which I will cover in my check-in posts.
